Present:   Commissioner Darlene Likens and President John Richwine.  Commissioner Kelly Gaskill absent, as she was called for jury service by Madison County Courts.

Also Present: Auditor, Rick Gardner, Chief Deputy Auditor Todd Culp, Deputy Auditor Nicki Young, Attorney Jeff Graham.

 Play >>  Commissioner Likens makes renewed proposal of a one (1) time payment from ARPA funds to full time employees in the amount of $3,000.00 and to part time employees in the amount of $1,000.00, be approved and submitted to ARPA Leadership Team for consideration. 

Motion: for a one (1) time payment from ARPA funds to full time employees in the amount of $3,000.00 and to part time employees in the amount of $1,000.00, be approved and submitted to members of ARPA Leadership Team.

 Play >>  Beatrice Ramey introduces John Gause, President and CEO of ApexBenefits, health benefits broker for County, who gives presentation to Commissioners about cost savings it has been able to achieve and health benefits for 2023. 

 

                         Play >>  Ken de la Bastide, Herald Bulletin, poses questions

 

 Play >>  Aaron Hopkins and Mr. Coleman of County Highway Department, give presentation to Commissioners regarding program they have begun to keep Madison County Highway Department competitive in job market wherein they provide training and pay expenses for employees to obtain Class B CDL pursuant to signed agreement. 

 

 Play >>  Beatrice Ramey advises Commissioners that she, as Risk Manger for County, and Aaron Hopkins, are in process of instituting program wherein County employees can receive in-house training to become CPR certified. 

 

 Play >>  David Herbert, Director of County Veterans Affairs Office, presents Resolution for approval of Commissioners concerning Operation Green Light for Veterans.

Motion: to approve Resolution 2022-BC-R-16, Supporting Operation Green Light for Veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
