Jessica Bastin, County Engineer, and Jeff Graham, County Attorney, present proposed Ordinances to create a Non-Reverting Donation Fund and an Ordinance Creating a Non-Reverting Capital Fund and Non-Reverting Operating Fund for the Madison County Parks Department, to the Commissioners for their consideration. County Attorney Graham indicates amendment to Ordinance relating to the creation of the Non-Reverting Operating Fund and Non-Reverting Capital Fund, in paragraph 1., under the “NOW, THEREFORE . . .”, the words “through the appropriation process” should be changed to “through the budget and levy process”. David Kane, Director of Community Corrections, poses a question. Motion Passed unanimously. Second reading and consideration of final approval of this Ordinance shall occur at next scheduled meeting of the Commissioners.

Commissioner Likens indicates there were a couple of items in this morning’s newspaper which she believes the Commissioners need to recognize. First, she congratulates Auditor Rick Gardner and his staff for the County’s clean State audit. Second, she commends Doug Eckerty and Briana Price at the Anderson Scholar House for receiving two grants and the good work they do.

Auditor Gardner presents to the Commissioner the annual certification of covered bridges within the County needs approval and filing, despite the fact that there are no covered bridges in Madison County, Indiana.
